PRIVACY POLICY
Effective October 13, 2026 · Last updated October 14, 2026
The short version
- We never read sensitive health data. No heart rate, weight, sleep, medical records, cycle tracking or anything like it.
- We collect what we need to run your challenges: your name, your login, and the workouts you log or import.
- Other players only see what's needed to compete: your name, points, rank, badges and workouts, and only in challenges you share.
- We never sell your data, never show ads, and never share your health data with advertisers or data brokers.
- You can delete your workouts or your whole account at any time.
1. Who we are
Player Two Fitness Challenge ("the app", "we", "us") is made by Rurik Bjornsson, an independent developer in the United States. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used and the choices you have. Questions? Email rurikbjornsson@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Account details. The name you enter when you sign up, your email address and your sign-in credentials. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text.
Challenge details. Challenges you create or join, including their names, dates, prizes, rules and who's playing.
Workouts you log. The text you type, plus the activity, duration, intensity level, steps and points worked out from it. Badges you earn are stored with your account.
Apple Health data, only if you connect it. Connecting is optional. If you do, the app asks for exactly three things: steps, walking and running distance, and workouts. When you import, it saves only what scoring needs: the type of activity, when it happened, how long and how far, plus one step total per day. You can turn sharing off at any time, and the app never writes anything to Apple Health.
Health data we never read. The app does not request or read heart rate, weight or other body measurements, sleep, medical records, cycle tracking, or any other sensitive health data.
Crash reports and device information. Player Two Fitness Challenge does not include any crash-reporting, analytics or advertising tools, and does not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs. If you have chosen to share app analytics with developers in your phone's settings, Apple or Google may send us anonymous crash reports. Our service providers receive basic technical information needed to run the app, such as your IP address, platform and app version.
We don't collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers.
3. How we use it
- To run the app: create your account, run challenges, calculate points and show leaderboards.
- To give you features you turn on, like badges, bonus points and Apple Health import.
- To answer support requests and fix problems.
- To keep the app secure and prevent cheating or abuse.
Health and fitness data is used only to provide the app's fitness features. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties for those purposes.
4. What other players see
When you join a challenge, the other players in that challenge can see your name, points, rank, badges and the workouts you log in it. People outside your challenges can't see any of this. If a challenge uses mystery mode, scores are hidden from everyone for the final days.
5. Service providers
We use a small number of companies to run the app. They process data only on our behalf and only to provide their service:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and hosting. Data is stored in the United States (US West, Oregon).
- Expo: delivers app updates. When the app opens, it checks Expo's servers for a new version.
- Apple and Google: app distribution through the App Store, TestFlight and Google Play.
We do not use analytics services, advertising networks or AI services. Workout descriptions you type are interpreted on your phone and are not sent to any outside service.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your personal information is erased immediately. Deleted data is not kept in any backup copy we can restore. If another player has joined a challenge you created, the challenge stays and is handed over to them; your own data is still removed from it.
7. Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete workouts from the History tab.
- Leave a challenge from Settings.
- Stop Apple Health sharing in the iPhone Settings app under Health › Data Access & Devices › Player Two Fitness Challenge.
- Delete your account at any time in Settings › You & account › Delete account. This permanently erases your account, workouts, badges and profile. More on our account deletion page.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by emailing rurikbjornsson@gmail.com.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or move your data, or to object to how it's used. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live, and we'll respond within 30 days.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and database access rules limit what each player can see to their own data and the challenges they're part of. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will let you know if a breach affects you.
9. Children
Player Two Fitness Challenge isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect.
